Google takes action on fake news sites

Unless facebook, google will take action.

It seems the one prominent article showing Trump winning the popular vote may have been the tipping point. It was nothing more than a site quoting another blog. Google says it will crack down on fake news sites

And the action may spread to more than political sites: From Google aims to crack down on ads on fake news sites

"Moving forward, we will restrict ad serving on pages that misrepresent, misstate, or conceal information about the publisher, the publisher's content, or the primary purpose of the web property," she said in a statement.

From now on, google will not monetize these fake sites — no ad revenue for the owners of the sites. This hurts!
