It is still very hard to buy a gun in Canada. Very hard for a handgun and almost impossible for the assault style weapons.
But the boycott of gun manufacturers has now spread to Canada.
First there was Mountain Equipment Co-op (MEC) which sells outdoor recreation gear and clothing in its 22 stores, will stop selling products made by Vista:
Vista-owned brands including Bollé, Bushnell, CamelBak and Jimmy Styks ...
MEC doesn’t even sell guns or ammunition. But after pressure decided to stop selling products made by Vista, which does make guns:
Vista also manufactures and sells guns and ammunition, including rifles under brand names such as Savage Arms, as well as Fox. Savage Arms in particular makes rapid-fire semi-automatic rifles with high-capacity magazines, which are functionally similar to the weapon used in last month's attack, and others.

Also today, The Running Room, which sells athletic wear — nothing that comes close to selling guns- will stop ordering products made by Camelbak and will selling existing stock. (This was in a email and there is nothing on the website yet)
The Running Room has stores in Canada and a few in the US. Expensive stuff that I haven’t bought yet but interested in them after a referral from my doctor.
It won’t be republican lawmakers that cause a change, but the mighty dollar.
The panic spreads.
