Trump, his hotel chain, executives, and his local hotel owner, lost a legal battle in front of the Supreme Court of Canada.
In short, 2 investors in the local hotel here in Toronto, sued for damages because they were misled as to returns when buying a hotel room. The lower court ‘...ordering that the sale of the unit must be rescinded for Singh and damages must be paid to Lee for “negligent misrepresentation.”’
Trump et el appealed a lower court decision. The Supreme Court said the decision stands.
So now back to the lower court to determine damages.
And the hotel owner. Talon International Development, has defaulted on the mortgage for the building.
